Have you noticed?

I can't seem to keep up posting a photo a day. I'm more of a "spurt an undertermined period" type.

Amanda went the dance at her boyfriend's school. She truly did try to let me take a good picture but her natural, er, personality, creeps through. And she absolutely does NOT look fat.

Friday night, looking for interesting subjects. This is interesting, but not necessarily for pictures. Is that my foot under the desk? I think so.

Manda says it's too monochromatic. I'm so glad she knows everything.

Amanda yawned. I think it's not bad for a silk flower in flourescent lighting.

It's a popcan. A popcan that someone sprayed silver, then sprayed with glue, then rolled in glitter and confetti stuff, then hotglued on a purple paper bow on for wings. A few more touches and it's a popcan angel. Fairly to severly tacky--in my not at all humble opinion--but the colors and shadow are sort of cool.

Pins. A thorny subject. I amuse myself.

Day 22

I'm posting two pictures today, but I didn't take the first one. S took this picture of herself. With her camera phone. I think it's remarkable, mostly because I look like Mr. Toad in Mr. Toad's Wild Ride in all the pictures I take of myself. That she took such a gorgeous picture all by herself and using a camera phone is just... sickening, really.

Honey Crisp apple for snack. Mmmmmmmmmm. It should taste good, at $3.29 a pound! Manda says the picture is distracting. I wish she'd shut up once in a while (kidding. Kinda).

Catch Up

This is my nephew. Thought I'd start out with something that would make you saw "awwww!" so you wouldn't be so hard on me for missing some (a lot) of days.

If you're still having trouble forgiving me, try saying 'no' to this face.
I've been taking pictures but haven't had time to do more than quickly upload them and then fall into bed.
Get ready for a string.

Manda says I'm obsessed with line.

I take an unbelievably large number of pictures of my dogs. And my children. But more of my dogs. Ro Ro has cats; I have dogs, I guess. Dot is on the left, Retro's on the right. Tooooooo cute.

Sundays are special. I am usually up early, appreciating the solititude. Sometimes I'm rewarded with sights like this one.

Sometimes I take a dozen pictures of the same thing, trying to capture with the camera whatever it is that's interesting to my eye. Sometimes I don't quite get it. Sometimes I do but the lighting is weird.

I try to take my camera with me everywhere, but don't always find good subjects. At least you know I'll smell nice.

Sometimes I just use my camera for family silliness.

Sometimes for tender moments.

Annnnnd like I said.. I take a lot of pictures of my dogs.

Really.

Alot.

So, I'm sorry for getting behind. Please stay tuned. I'll try to be better.

Day 15

Sorry about the uploads taking place today. Maybe this will end up Photoblog - two days at a time.
Ooooooh!

Day 14

Hmm... dinner? I'm not turning into a food blog, I promise. Oh, and these are whole wheat. I promise on that too.

Day 12... Again

Walmart wasn't as interesting for pictures as one might think. Especially not in the company of a Cowboy who has little patience for the project.
Still....

Day 12

Ahhh... I botched it. Didn't take a single picture yesterday, though I took my camera everywhere with me. Oh well. Over the past two years, I've learned that you don't quit a project just because you mess up one day, or two, or even a week. So you messed up? Yep, sure did. It's what you do afterwards that decides your spirit and your fate.

I am declaring, in the words of Our Lady of Weightloss: "All is forgiven. Move on."

Cheryl is helping me decide what sorts of pictures to take based on the Letter-A-Day theme. Seeing as how she's in the super-important pre-reading stage, I think I'll continue with the theme as incentive to keep her interested.

Cheryl's very irritated that I didn't take any L pictures yesterday, even though she suggested llamas, lotion, lots, laundry, lollypop, lemon and ladybug. I must keep my promise to take an L and an M one today. Promise number one: L is for Lazy. It's 8:30AM on Sunday and most of my family are doing the same thing as Will.

Day 11

As you can probably guess, this is a grocery cart (kart?) but I felt the lines were really interesting.

Please click on this picture to see it in it's larger size. The blog window does not do it justice.

Day 10

I feel like the last weinerschnitzel at Oktoberfest after yesterday. I cleaned out my desk at work for reasons that will become obvious on the regular blog whenever I get around to it. .

No worries! It looks like it'll be a positive thing but for now, it's just exhausting. I came home and absolutely crashed last night, so did not upload the picture.

Day 9

I took a picture of my invitation to a job interview, but the monitor on my computer caused the pictures to look really funky.

Then I took a picture of the 'i' key on my keyboard, but I must have moved a little because it's ever so slightly fuzzy.

I ran out of light and ideas. Maybe 'i' stands for "I give up the letter per day theme."

I came home and S was making pretzels, which have nothing to do with 'i' but they're so pretty! Ahh.. the salty pretzely goodness.

Thank you Shelley-Sue. These are yum. I am stopping at one. Really.

Day 8

Hm.... the sparkles don't show in the smaller size. Bummer. The sun was shining off the H2O in solid state today. Was shiny. Plus I didn't have to shovel.

Day 7

This is important to me these days.

Glucometer
(edited because.. duh! This was day seven!)

Day 6

Today, I hit on my first really great picture idea and get the shot in a decent lighting atmosphere.

F is for Feet

Here's a sentence you don't expect to hear: "Take off your shoes and socks and go stand on the porch. I need a picture of your feet."

Day 5

There was stress here yesterday; I had to take my Cowboy away to blow off some steam and we didn't get home until after midnight. The photo was taken long before then, though. Honest.

Education:

I took my camera to a LARGE WHOLESALE WAREHOUSE STORE. I actually got several interesting pictures, but this one's the most acceptable for the theme.

Day 4

Dan... at his Desk.. which is Decorated.

Man, I'm goofy.

I used Cowboy's computer to upload my picture yesterday and did not realize that it wasn't compressed or resized. I had to do the same thing again today but got it right this time.

Dan is one of my tertiary supervisors (his term, honest). He drives me insane and has taught me a ton. Tomrrow's his birthday; my other D coworker and I surprised him.

I have tons of errands to run this weekend, am taking the camera along with. Hopefully I'll run across interesting images for E and F. Wish me luck!

Day 3

Cheryl
I knew I wanted one of her... especially one of her sleeping. I took several this morning when she was sacked out in one of her sib's beds in that classic toddler 'butt up in the air' pose. They're cute, but this one is beautiful.

Day 2

Boy in BlanketsI forgot to take my camera to work with me today and the lighting in my house is less than ideal. I hate using the flash at any time, but I played with Kodak's editing software. It didn't come out too badly, did it?

Redhead was feeling left out; he didn't think Mama was interested in taking any pictures of him.

The exposure is horrible, but the colors are interesting and who can resist that face?

Day 1

I'm participating in Project 365 in addition to my other blog.

I figure to start off with a fairly easy theme. Give it a couple days: you'll figure it out.
